Venice (Italian: Venezia) is a city in Northern Italy and is the capital of the region Veneto. The city is one of the most popular tourist destination worldwide and has plenty of sights to offer its visitors - San Marco square, Galleria dell'Accademia, The Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale).
Venice is a very "tourist-friendly" place. There are lots of signs and directions at every corner and junction, so it is almost impossible to lose your way. The public transport - boats within the city and buses to the airport and in Lido, are perfectly organised. Taxis are very expensive, but you usually will not need one as travelling within the city from the airport or the railway station, is really easy and pleasant.

Casa Baseggio boasts an excellent location. Although in the historical center of Venice, within a walking distance from San Marco square, the place is quiet and calm, with a beautiful garden.
